Welcome

I came to practice massage therapy after witnessing the transformative effect massage can have on overall well-being—from our ability to manage everyday stress to our ability to heal from emotional and physical trauma of all kinds. All of our emotions—pain, fear, stress, joy, happiness, love—and all of our life experiences live in our bodies every bit as much as our blood and bones. Working together with my clients, I take a holistic approach to caring for the whole person–body, mind, and spirit–to facilitate their goals, which can include healing from physical and emotional injury, pain and stress management, increased flexibility and proprioceptive awareness, or simply maintaining a well-rounded wellness routine.

The principle of radical inclusion guides my massage practice, insofar as I believe in the “simple notion that everybody belongs here, exactly as it is.” Inspired by the work of Frances Reed and the professionals of Freed Bodyworks in Washington, D.C., my practice caters to bodies that don’t conform to traditional ideas of “normal,” whether that’s due to size, shape, ethnicity, gender identity, body modification, subculture, or any other variety of association or characteristic. Our relationships with our bodies can be complicated and sometimes prevent us from taking care of ourselves as we should. My practice is dedicated to creating a safe space where all persons and their bodies are accepted, respected, and celebrated for who and what they are.

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to do this work. Thank you for trusting me with your body.
